Such backup is relevant only for bootloaders supporting it. Currently the interaction between bootloaders, ramdisk tools and kernels is limited to the kernel package postinst routines injected by kernel-package at kernel build time. One approach to extend the current kernel packaging logic is for bootloaders to add scripts below /etc/kernel/postinst.d/ Another approach is to separate such interaction into a separate kernel install helper package as part of http://wiki.debian.org/FlexibleKernelHandling - Jonas - -- * Jonas Smedegaard - idealist og Internet-arkitekt * Tlf.: +45 40843136 Website: http://dr.jones.dk/ - Enden er nær: http://www.shibumi.org/eoti.htm -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- Version: GnuPG v1.4.2 (GNU/Linux) iD8DBQFDq/Fqn7DbMsAkQLgRAhJ2AJsFV+jn0xOllmlbrmhKMRguEKtv3QCffClt 2JootR8ClOkszM0F1qZ5eTk= =4zZC -----END PGP SIGNATURE-----
