Package: linux-image-5.9.0-0.bpo.2-amd64
Version: 5.9.6-1~bpo10+1

Wireless card was not behaving normally after upgrading to kernel 5.9 from the
backports (slow speeds, possibly repeatitive scannings).

I had to blacklist the two following modules (second module possibly optional).

dpkg -S
/lib/modules/5.9.0-0.bpo.2-amd64/kernel/drivers/net/wireless/realtek/rtw88/rtw88_8821ce.ko
linux-image-5.9.0-0.bpo.2-amd64:
/lib/modules/5.9.0-0.bpo.2-amd64/kernel/drivers/net/wireless/realtek/rtw88/rtw88_8821ce.ko

dpkg -S
/lib/modules/5.9.0-0.bpo.2-amd64/kernel/drivers/platform/x86/ideapad-laptop.ko
linux-image-5.9.0-0.bpo.2-amd64:
/lib/modules/5.9.0-0.bpo.2-amd64/kernel/drivers/platform/x86/ideapad-laptop.ko

Then I installed this driver:
https://github.com/tomaspinho/rtl8821ce

After installing the above driver manually, the wireless card behaves normally.

Hi

This bug was filed for a very old kernel or the bug is old itself
without resolution.

If you can reproduce it with

- the current version in unstable/testing
- the latest kernel from backports

please reopen the bug, see https://www.debian.org/Bugs/server-control
for details.

Regards,
Salvatore
