Package: iproute2
Version: 6.13.0-1
Severity: minor
X-Debbugs-Cc: christophe.l...@cegetel.net

Dear Maintainer,
I'm taking my first steps with the network namespace concept. Please excuse the naivety of my question.

Following the manual page (and other tutorials), I make:

    $ ip netns add ns0
    mkdir /run/netns failed: Permission denied

Of course, a normal user cannot create a subdirectory in /run
Who's supposed to prepare it? A systemd component? Something else? Did I miss something?

Best regards
