Thanks for your report.

This was triggered by an upstream commit that reorganized how module
compression works
(https://git.kernel.org/linus/c7ff693fa2094ba0a9d0a20feb4ab1658eff9c33).
Since then a new kconfig item (i.e. MODULE_COMPRESS) is needed to get
compressed modules. The result was that kernel modules are not
compressed any more in the Debian package. The next upload of 6.12.x
will again properly compress modules.
