You know very well that this is not true, as this bug report already states. The upstream default is "never". You enabled "auto" and thereby broke terminal output for anyone using a dark background. Blaming this on upstream is ... (couldn't figure out a suitabled adjective to put here which would comply with Debian rules). Bjørn
