This does not look like a good candidate for a stable release upstream, but to anwer your question bout making it to Debian: to make that happen, ensure it lands upstream in the 6.1.y series by asking upstream to backport it (if confirmed it fixes a bug in the 6.1.y series). As the change is rather substantial, I would suggest to first approach the XFS maintainers and in particular the two involved in the commit. Hope this helps, Regards, Salvatore
