Yep, those two issues seem accurate to me: splitting the config file list (a trickier prospect than it seemed it should be, because newlines have been converted into spaces), and then quoting the filename mappings provided to the rules-gen stage. (and I think I was already stating the obvious when mentioning the config file as the source of problems earlier) Either way, and although it lacks the excitement of Unicode snowpeople, I've developed an alternative possible fixup approach at: https://salsa.debian.org/diederik/firmware-nonfree/-/merge_requests/1 Cheers, James
