I've rebootet the server again just to check and indeed, the above override doesn't work anymore (also tried with ...=1,1 because it's a two slots adapter, but doesn't make any difference). So, seems the reason for your trouble is that allow_unsupported_sfp broke somewhen in between 5.x and 6.x, at least for ixgbe. I didn't check with i40e, but could do so if needed/wanted. Any chance you could confirm it by testing with an Intel-branded SFP? Regards, Daniel
