I will likely pick that change as well for the next 5.10.y based
upload via the upcoming point release (it might count as "enabling
furhter hardware support" allowed for stable release updates).

This is a very good news.
Would you happen to have an idea on the timetable for the availability
of the upcoming 5.10 kernel ?
I am currently working on building a custom kernel with this option
enabled so we can make Bullseye available again on our SEV enabled offer
until the backport becomes available. If it is expected to happen soon,
we may elect to wait for an official kernel.
