Dear Maintainer, *** Reporter, please consider answering these questions, where appropriate *** * What led up to the situation? I upgraded to the latest security kernel on Stable (5.10.0-19). After upgrading, I rebooted. * What exactly did you do (or not do) that was effective (or ineffective)? Only thing that works to get 5.10.0-19 booting is to not have integrated AMD graphics. My other nvidia machine upgraded just fine. Disabling modesetting did not resolve the issue. * What was the outcome of this action? Computer gets past GRUB, attempts to boot, and then hangs on a black screen. After about 30 seconds, some error messages are spat out regarding DRM and "flip_done timed out" * What outcome did you expect instead? I expected the machine to boot normally. *** End of the template - remove these template lines *** -- System Information: Debian Release: 11.5 APT prefers stable-updates APT policy: (500, 'stable-updates'), (500, 'stable-security'), (500, 'stable') Architecture: amd64 (x86_64) Foreign Architectures: i386 Kernel: Linux 5.10.0-18-amd64 (SMP w/16 CPU threads) Kernel taint flags: TAINT_PROPRIETARY_MODULE, TAINT_OOT_MODULE, TAINT_UNSIGNED_MODULE Locale: LANG=en_US.UTF-8, LC_CTYPE=en_US.UTF-8 (charmap=UTF-8), LANGUAGE not set Shell: /bin/sh linked to /usr/bin/dash Init: systemd (via /run/systemd/system) LSM: AppArmor: enabled Versions of packages linux-image-amd64 depends on: ii linux-image-5.10.0-19-amd64 5.10.149-1 linux-image-amd64 recommends no packages. linux-image-amd64 suggests no packages. -- no debconf information
