You should have either yaird or initramfs-tools installed, yaird has the benefit of not needing udev or hotplug. That said, there is a dependency on : yaird | initramfs-tools | linux-initramfs-tool Which should have pulled in yaird, but apparently hasn't, can you check why ? Maybe this is due to the preinst checking imposed by k-p ? Manoj, can you comment on this ? Friendly, Sven Luther
