I still see this problem in all currently supported Debian versions (9-11).
And I can't find any package that provides the needed helper scripts hv_get_dhcp_info and hv_get_dns_info. Actually the corresponding Ubuntu package contains these scripts: https://packages.ubuntu.com/focal/all/linux-cloud-tools-common/filelist
