This is possible with the SuperH bare-metal cross toolchain I'm packaging. I will need sponsorship for this package (and am currently seeking sponsors for the cross toolchain too); the Kernel Team may help with the former. Regardless, co-maintainers/uploaders are welcome and I'd be glad to help prospective contributors get adapters, as they can be a little tricky to find.
