Dear Maintainer,
ipmi used to work fine on our machines (apple xserve 3,1) with debian 7,
but I recently found out that it's no longer the case
with debian 8 (fresh install), nor debian 9 (fresh install). So, it
seems that there is a regression somewhere...
I know that I'm running linux on an exotic hardware and that I wouldn't
have reported a bug if I didn't have ipmi working
previously on the same hardware...
here are the symptoms :

The symptoms are the same on a debian 8. However, on debian 7 (on
another machine with the same hardware), the logs show that i
