Dear Maintainer,
I bought a new USB hard disk dock and connected it, and the system mostly
crashed. It actually wrote some stuff in the log, which I include below, and
continued to work, then I tried to restart it and something went wrong (I'm not
100% certain, because I'm remote and was told, but I believe it managed to
shutdown [the log goes up to the point of stopping rsyslogd] but failed to
bootup, until the USB device was disconnected and was reset again.)
I think this could be related to #817874. I don't believe I have Radeon, and
I'm not running X anyway (it's a server), but there are some common things in
the log. After finding about #817874 I tried downgrading to the previous kernel
(3.16.7-ckt20-1+deb8u4), and it now works fine. Mind you, I'm now running the
previous kernel, that's why the information automatically included in this bug
report is about the previous kernel.
