Hi I would like to upload linux version 5.9.1-1 to unstable later today.
This is a new upstream version and therefore involves an ABI bump. The pending changes in the package are: * [rt] Update to 5.9-rc8-rt12 * [armhf,arm64] Enable CONFIG_VIDEO_SUNXI_CEDRUS (Closes: #972123) * [rt] Update to 5.9-rt16 * [x86] ACPI / extlog: Check for RDMSR failure (Closes: #971058) * Set ABI to 1 The upload would address CVE-2020-12351 and CVE-2020-12352. Changes in the previous upload to experimental were (apart the imports of the upstream versions repsectively): * linux-doc: Correct index filename in package description * [amd64/cloud-amd64] Generalise the description of supported platforms * [rt] Update to 5.9-rc8-rt11 * linux-signed-*: Set Uploaders and Standards-Version to match linux * [rt] Update to 5.9-rc5-rt7 and re-enable * [arm64,generic] Enable configs used on SMARC-sAL28 board and its carriers. Patch by Michael Walle. * Provide virtualbox-guest-modules now that the module is inside the kernel itself. * drivers/net/wireless: Enable RTW88_8821CE (Closes: #917941) * Un-export symbols no longer needed by the Android ashmem and binder drivers * aufs: Disable support patchset until it is updated for Linux 5.9 * Makefile: Do not check for libelf when building OOT module * udeb: Move any compression modules to kernel-image; drop compress-modules * libtraceevent1: Update symbols list for functions added in 5.9 * drm/virtio: Revert "drm/virtio: Call the right shmem helpers" Regards, Salvatore
