Dear maintainers,
the ethernet adapter I use is the "Startech GIGABIT ETHERNET ADAPTER"
which
has a USB 3 type A plug and supports speeds up to 5 GBit/s.
I compiled the sources of linux-image-5.8.0-1-amd64 following the recipe
in the
Debian documentation. The only changes were enable the module
(CONFIG_USB_NET_AQC111=m)
and disabling the signing to work around a build problem.
The adapter has been working nicely for two days now and the reported
link speed is 5G,
also confirmed in switch status page.
