Hi, the “easiest” way would be to have that updated included in a 4.9 point release, which would in turn be integrated in a later Debian package version. It might be possible to include that backport (it's been done in the past) but it really depends on the size of that backports, the dependency on other subsystems in Linux and the amount of work required to keep it updated later.
