Package: nfs-common Version: 1.3.4-2.1
After dist-upgrading from Jessie to Stretch, I got "lockd: cannot monitor <machine>". I found that rpc.statd was not running because it wasn't enabled for autostart. After enabling and starting rpc.statd, machine resumed normal operation.
