The scope of this bug seems pretty major, and was also discussed by the ubuntu
team herehttps://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux/+bug/1534647

I was hoping there might be something relevant there to this bug

These are the cards that no longer work as a result of the bug:M-Audio Delta

Audiophile 2496.

Event Electronics EZ8
Digigram VX442
Lionstracs Mediastaton
Terrasoniq TS 88
Roland/Edirol DA-2496.

Is there a tracking bug upstream to fix the driver?
To maintain a current kernel I may have to either switch distros or buy another
soundcard, both of which I am hoping to avoid if possible
Thanks in advance
