Hi
This bug seems to have been fixed in linux-image-3.16.0-4-amd64:amd64
3.16.7-ckt11-1+deb8u6 (i.e. my display port was working without
problems), but reintroduced in 3.16.7-ckt20-1+deb8u2 (since my upgrade
to that version I'm getting the same error messages as in the referenced
bug:
[drm:intel_dp_start_link_train] *ERROR* too many full retries, give up

I would be glad if you could again look into it.
