Ok, I worked out that I need to run the following to get the patches, override_version=2.6.12-6 sh ./debian/bin/apply After I do so I don't get any discrepancies, so the default.patch I posted is bogus, please ignore it. I have attached a replacement reiserfs.patch for consideration.
