Hi fellow developers,
I just want to let you know that the GNU/kFreeBSD port has finished the
transition to the new Debian kernel naming scheme. We now have one
source package, kfreebsd-5 which is in unstable and which produces the
following binary packages:
- kfreebsd-image-5.3-1 (binary-all) The kernel binaries
- kfreebsd-headers-5.3-1 (kfreebsd-i386) The headers to build modules
- kfreebsd-source-5.3 (kfreebsd-i386) The kernel source
The new kfreebsd-source-5.3 package does not provide anymore
kernel-source as it was the case with the old package kfreebsd5-source,
but rather kfreebsd-source, and thus the linux users won't be annoyed
anymore with apt-get recommending to install kfreebsd-source when
installing a linux kernel related package.
Cheers,
Aurelien
