Package: linux-image-2.6.12-1-k7 Version: 2.6.12-1 Severity: normal
Hello, I've installed the package and asked it to run lilo. It said: ... Testing lilo.conf ... An error occurred while running lilo in test mode, a log is available in /var/log/lilo_log.1891. Please edit /etc/lilo.conf manually and re-run lilo, or make other arrangements to boot your machine. Please hit return to continue The log file contained the following line: Fatal: open /vmlinuz: No such file or directory I looked at the links. They were broken: initrd.img -> /boot/-2.6 vmlinuz -> /boot/-2.6 Thanks in advance, Baurzhan. P.S. Is there any reason why the links are absolute now? The old kernel packages used relative links (e.g., vmlinuz.old -> boot/vmlinuz-2.6.11-1-k7), this was very convenient to mount the filesystem on a directory other than root and still use the links. -- System Information: Debian Release: testing/unstable APT prefers unstable APT policy: (500, 'unstable') Architecture: i386 (i686) Kernel: Linux 2.6.13-rc5 Locale: LANG=C, LC_CTYPE=de_DE (charmap=ISO-8859-1) -- no debconf information -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with a subject of "unsubscribe".
