Hi everyone, I'm experiencing a problem using the stable debian installer on two different kinds of hardware (Both computers are manufactured by Sun). The bootloader (Slilo) is working nicely, but then the kernel crashes while loading. -On the first computer it says "Unable to allocate enough continuous memory" ... even with a bootparameter 'mem=512m' whereas it has 16G of RAM! -On the second one, it oopses (see apendix).
Both box were running Solaris without any problem... Though I'm not sure of the CD : md5sum says it is ok (but done on a different box) so it MIGHT be a cdrom reader related problem... But I don't think so. Any suggestion ? Thanks in advance, Regards. NextGen$. PS: Please CC me in your responses as I'm not on the list. I'm using this ISO : http://cdimage.debian.org/debian-cd/3.1_r0a/sparc/iso-cd/debian-31r0a-sparc-businesscard.iso
