in a nutshell, the bug submitter wants something along the lines of 'apt-get install kernel-image-powerpc && reboot' to work on the CHRP subarchitecture. Since this must be done in the postinst, and the postinst should be the one created by make-kpkg, I am reassigning this bug. If I understand the current situation correctly, some manual interaction is required to create a bootable kernel and get it in place; this is a minor inconvenience and therefore I am adjusting the severity. I'm not sure whether this bug has been fixed already. If this is the case, please close it. If not, I will look into this again when I have both time and hardware.
