Package: kernel-image-2.6.8-1-686 Version: 2.6.8-2 Severity: normal Helo,
Since kernel-image-2.6.5 my Atapi drive isn't detected at boot. It work perfectly with previous 2.6 (2.6.4). Sata drives work perfectly as scsci devices (sda & sdb). My Motherboard is an Asus P4C800-E Deluxe with ICH5-R. I've tried all modes in the bios (enhanced & compatible) with no result. Hardware raid is disabled in the bios. Promise chip is disabled to. I've tested with two differents atapi drives, a CD-R/RW burner and a DVD-ROM reader. Thanks in advance for your attention. -- System Information: Debian Release: 3.1 APT prefers unstable APT policy: (500, 'unstable'), (1, 'experimental') Architecture: i386 (i686) Kernel: Linux 2.6.8-1-686 Locale: [EMAIL PROTECTED], [EMAIL PROTECTED] (ignored: LC_ALL set to [EMAIL PROTECTED]) Versions of packages kernel-image-2.6.8-1-686 depends on: ii coreutils [fileutils] 5.2.1-2 The GNU core utilities ii initrd-tools 0.1.74 tools to create initrd image for p ii module-init-tools 3.1-pre5-6 tools for managing Linux kernel mo -- no debconf information
