I don't believe any of this is related to the problem. Anyway. The setup is exactly the same that Hollis described in his original report. The only thing I do manually after installing a new kernel image package is to dd the vmlinuz file onto the PReP boot partition. > Yeah, but let's find out why this happens. Please keep in mind that *my* PReP system is running fine now, after numerous bugs that I reported have been fixed. I'd rather just set that root option, the ideal way being the bootargs patch, and then move on to more worthwhile things.
