Package: initrd-tools Version: 0.1.74 Severity: normal After upgrading to a 2.6 kernel, I found a lot more modules loaded, including what seemed to be every filesystem module. It seems that initrd-tools load every existing fs module, instead of only the one used by the root filesystem. Some of these modules are quite large. Here's the output from lsmod after booting with /bin/sh as init and running /etc/rcS.d/S02mountvirtfs:
