How do you know which was the last kernel installed on my machine? What if I only upgrade once a month? twice a year? Once a year? Or do only people who install every possible kernel upload get to keep their lilo unbroken? What if I am using the optional postinst hooks to keep 4 kernels in my lilo.conf? Or keep two series, 4 kernels from the 2.4 series, and 2 from the 2.6 series, but would like to also have new 2.4 and 2.6 kernels installed? manoj -- Thirteen at a table is unlucky only when the hostess has only twelve chops.
