The "Num" lock doesn't respond and reconnecting the (PS/2) device doesn't help. I tried to unload all the many modules, and it's exactly uhci_hcd which causes the problem. I tried with the pre-built kernel as well as a custom image of 2.6.5. Same problem. lsmod says: ======================================================================== atari:/home/ernie# lsmod Module Size Used by mga 102576 2 snd_mixer_oss 17280 0 nfsd 88776 1 exportfs 5120 1 nfsd lockd 57160 2 nfsd sunrpc 120520 2 nfsd,lockd ipt_LOG 5248 1 ipt_limit 2048 1 ipt_state 1664 2 ip_conntrack 27696 1 ipt_state iptable_filter 2432 1 8250 18528 0 serial_core 19584 1 8250 sr_mod 14884 0 eth1394 17544 0 joydev 8384 0 tmscsim 33856 0 hid 31488 0 scsi_mod 107596 2 sr_mod,tmscsim bcm5700 118408 0 ohci1394 31364 0 ieee1394 302136 2 eth1394,ohci1394 hisax 172992 3 isdn 141932 7 hisax snd_intel8x0 30120 0 snd_ac97_codec 60292 1 snd_intel8x0 snd_pcm 83236 1 snd_intel8x0 snd_timer 21380 1 snd_pcm snd_page_alloc 8964 2 snd_intel8x0,snd_pcm gameport 3712 1 snd_intel8x0 snd_mpu401_uart 6272 1 snd_intel8x0 snd_rawmidi 20128 1 snd_mpu401_uart snd_seq_device 6536 1 snd_rawmidi snd 44644 8 snd_mixer_oss,snd_intel8x0,snd_ac97_codec,snd_pcm,snd_timer,snd_mpu401_uart,snd_rawmidi,snd_seq_device soundcore 7392 1 snd ehci_hcd 23812 0 uhci_hcd 29456 0 usbcore 89692 5 hid,ehci_hcd,uhci_hcd intel_agp 15772 1 agpgart 27560 2 intel_agp dm_mod 35488 0 evdev 7808 0 psmouse 18312 0 autofs4 13056 5 pcspkr 3432 0 ide_floppy 16512 0 atari:/home/ernie# ======================================================================== Thanks for considering. bye, Roland -- System Information: Debian Release: testing/unstable APT prefers unstable APT policy: (500, 'unstable') Architecture: i386 (i686) Kernel: Linux 2.6.5 Locale: LANG=en_GB.UTF-8, LC_CTYPE=en_GB.UTF-8 (ignored: LC_ALL set to en_GB.UTF-8) --------------------------------------- Received: (at 246005-done) by bugs.debian.org; 2 Sep 2004 14:46:20 +0000 >From [EMAIL PROTECTED] Thu Sep 02 07:46:20 2004 Return-path: <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Received: from mr2-n.kom.tuwien.ac.at (mr.tuwien.ac.at) [128.131.2.110] by spohr.debian.org with esmtp (Exim 3.35 1 (Debian)) id 1C2sqy-0001lL-00; Thu, 02 Sep 2004 07:46:20 -0700 Received: from pc301.ben.tuwien.ac.at (pc301.ben.tuwien.ac.at [193.170.74.244]) by mr.tuwien.ac.at (8.12.10/8.12.8) with ESMTP id i82EjkVv015614 for <[EMAIL PROTECTED]>; Thu, 2 Sep 2004 16:45:46 +0200 (MEST) Received: (from [EMAIL PROTECTED]) by pc301.ben.tuwien.ac.at (8.12.5/8.12.5) id i82Ejjj8001130 for [EMAIL PROTECTED]; Thu, 2 Sep 2004 16:45:45 +0200 Date: Thu, 2 Sep 2004 16:45:45 +0200 From: Maximilian Attems <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> To: [EMAIL PROTECTED] Subject: debian kernel and swsusp Message-ID: <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Mime-Version: 1.0 Content-Type: text/plain; charset=us-ascii Content-Disposition: inline User-Agent: Mutt/1.4i X-Virus-Scanned: by amavisd-milter (http://amavis.org/) Delivered-To: [EMAIL PROTECTED] X-Spam-Checker-Version: SpamAssassin 2.60-bugs.debian.org_2004_03_25 (1.212-2003-09-23-exp) on spohr.debian.org X-Spam-Status: No, hits=1.0 required=4.0 tests=BAYES_40,FROM_ENDS_IN_NUMS autolearn=no version=2.60-bugs.debian.org_2004_03_25 X-Spam-Level: We dropped the modular swsusp patch from kernel-source and thus - the debian kernel don't support swsusp anymore - its really not stable enough yet. - pmdisk and swsusp are on the way to get merged. - better swsusp will need drivers overhaul. there is a wishlist bug open for after sarge #267600 should help to track progress on that matter. -- Maximilian Attems kernel janitor http://janitor.kernelnewbies.org/
