this bugreport has getting far from a sane state, but i hope it can be resolved in peacefull mind. :) stan pinte you mentioned a self compiled kernel, could you please post your .config and dmesg? you might want also use `acpi_listen` as root to see if you are getting acpi events, please wait for them for some time. on my x86 laptop both kernel and acpid is working. couldn't test gnome-applets. thanks for further info. -- maks kernel janitor http://janitor.kernelnewbies.org/
