Hm, I had been under the impression that 686-smp already enabled hyperthreading. Looking at the difference between 2.4 and 2.6, though, it would appear that CONFIG_X86_HT isn't set. Is there a way to set this for 686-smp, or is 2.4 support for that not there yet?
