The kernel-source package is known to miss half a ton of mips-specific patches, it is not supposed to work for mips/mipsel in its raw form. This may change for future versions if integration of linux-mips.org modifications into the kernel.org tree works well. 2.6 cobalt needs AFAIK some further porting work as well. I plan to do kernel-patch-2.6.8-mips post sarge, and hope the cobalt support is good enough by then. Thiemo
