Hmm. dist-upgrading won't install a new kernel-image package, and a fresh install with 2.6 is going to get the mouse device right, so I don't think this particular example is a showstopper. Sure, if you've got a pre-existing install, with XFree86, and you choose to install a 2.6 kernel-image package, you're in for a bit of mouse pain... Andrew
