Before the upgrade the computer would not automatically swith off, (I know I have to switch to kernel 2.6 for this, but I don't want to for other reasons), but still I could finally switch it off using the button. Now the only tricks I know for switching the power off is to unplug the AC and remove the battery... or restart with CTRL-ALT-DEL (which works) and then immediately use the power button (which would work then). But this is bad ! And it forces the BIOS to do a longer check up at the next reboot. Any help appreciated.
