No special module is required. It uses only /dev/ttySx. The problem is related to the kernel 2.4.27. It doesn't exist on 2.4.26, 2.6.8 and 2.6.9 Debian kernel. I have a problem with xtel too. It uses a ttySx too. With the 2.4.27 It's necessary to launch xtel twice before it goes well.
