Hello, Well, today saw a a large influx of updates to move most (if not all - I haven't fully checked) kf5 dependant software to Qt6.
It wasn't without problems - most options wanted to remove akgregator korganiser and a few other things. However, using Synaptic, it was possible to mark each of them to be upgraded, rather than removed. Ultimately, the upgrade went through pretty much painlessly. I was left with a lot of redundant kf5 libraries which were soon purged without problem. The only thing that couldn't be avoided was the removal of kjots (superseded, I know) but MarkNote is not yet in testing, so I'm using KleverNotes for now. I will test MarkNotes when it arrives in testing. A log out and back in was required to ensure the correct backend was in use for Korganiser and, no doubt, other stuff. I now have my events list back in the clock applet. So all is well there. The only issue I have left is the lack of certain icons in my preferred theme (oxygen). There's no 'Bluetooth' or 'Lock Keys Status' icons in the SysTray, just the generic 'blank page with a question mark' icon. Same can be said for some of the icons in System Settings. Possibly there are others I've yet to find missing. This, of course, is a minor inconvenience. Obviously, I could use another theme, but I just love the oxygen icons - which makes it hard to change. Irrational, I know, but I'm only human. ;-) Thanks to all the KDE team.
