kdm working again, yay!

After a couple segfaults and hiccoughs, kdm started logging me back in 
again.
After running genkdmconf as root (suggested by Brad Rogers) and a couple 
tweaks:
1) copied over .default.face.icon to .default.face, although I don't 
know if that is what made a difference.
2) selected plasma instead of default in kdm menu, plasma is now default 
(previous).
Couple restarts and tests, OK so far.
