Sometimes, turning the Debian 7.6.0 KDE machine off from the login
panel results in a text base login, and the power down sequence stops.
Logging in, ps(1) eax has a kdm running.
Hitting Ctrl-Alt-Del proceeds with the power down, but a message is
issued that kdm is not responding to the kill.
Any suggestions?
