Hi, I am testing KDE 4.2.2 on my Toshiba Portégé R500. I tested some KWin effects like shadows, alpha and cube desktop and it seems to be relatively fast. The cube desktop effect rendering is running at 10-15 FPS, but I is usable and I think it's normal for the 945GM.
