I think in KDE 4.2.2, kmail has some serious memory leak issues (Contrary to what the changelog says). I don't know the exact pattern to reproduce, but once when triggered, even if I kill and start kmail, it eats up all the memory in seconds. And this is what it logs.. kontact(5795)/kmail (storage internals) KMFolderMaildir::reallyDoClose: fclose(mIndexStream =0xd8173c0 ) Object::disconnect: Unexpected null parameter kontact(5795)/kmail (storage internals) KMFolderMaildir::reallyDoClose: fclose(mIndexStream =0x916c8c0 ) kontact(5795)/kmail (storage internals) KMFolderMaildir::reallyDoClose: fclose(mIndexStream =0x916c3a8 ) kontact(5795)/kmail (storage internals) KMFolderMaildir::reallyDoClose: fclose(mIndexStream =0x916d318 ) kontact(5795)/kmail (storage internals) KMFolderMaildir::reallyDoClose: fclose(mIndexStream =0x9161a60 ) kontact(5795)/kmail (storage internals) KMFolderMaildir::reallyDoClose: fclose(mIndexStream =0x9162398 ) kontact(5795)/kmail (storage internals) KMFolderMaildir::reallyDoClose: fclose(mIndexStream =0x90cadd0 ) kontact(5795)/kmail (storage internals) KMFolderMaildir::reallyDoClose: fclose(mIndexStream =0x90a5820 ) kontact(5795)/kmail (storage internals) KMFolderMaildir::reallyDoClose: fclose(mIndexStream =0x9543b20 ) Ritesh -- If possible, Please CC me when replying.
