There is a KDE Bug number 153716: Digikam does not work with Olympus C-170
CAMEDIA camera.
I have a problem that has similar symptoms, but is nothing to do with Digikam,
which I don't have installed. I have raised a Debian bug - 459017 which has
been assigned to libgphoto2-2. There may be some connection.
