1. Referencing the document

which discusses DCOP communication under KDE.
I typed the command "# dcop-script kopete KopeteIface messageContact
<NAME> "Hi"
ERROR: Couldn't attach to DCOP server!"
I am using KDE 3.2 -- Why would dcop be unable to connect to the DCOP
server?
Note: <NAME> is the what the actual person's online name was. I'm hiding it.
2. I was updating my menu structure and moved Kontact to the top of the list,
above all other menus. After I saved my changes and clicked on the big K,
Kontact was not listed anywhere in the menu structure. Did I do something
wrong?
