To all encountering this error - it appears to be breaking in libxrender1 itself, not KDE. We are working on a diagnoisis and solution right now and will post when we have a tested solution. Please bear with us. In the meantime, you can downgrade libxrender1 to 0.8.2-1 or 0.8.2-2.
