It's not so simple as just symlinking the Mail folder since you'd also have to do the same with ~/.kde/share/apps/kmail and ~/.kde/share/config/kmailrc and set the permissions. If you just share Mail, then KMail will redownload the
messages whenever the other person checks for mail since the settings are different for each local user. The best way is to set up an IMAP server but this can be annoying esp. if you are trying to conserve resources or are paranoid.
