I found your bug report last night and did the symlink thing, however, that did not fix the same problem with Unicode. I ran 'dpkg-reconfigure fontconfig' and enabled bitmapped fonts, however, it did not do the job. I had to manually edit /etc/fonts/local.conf to get the job done. Thanks for your time. -- Ciao, CRH
