I already solvedit . Don't dare to specify the --enable-final configure option. I made a quick hack for --enable-final to work but well, not when that option was left out on my last try... :-/ The SIM author should know better about global variables (especially, what he did there makes not really sense). Anyway, it is a good program :) BTW: SIM crashes quite easy. Kmail can play a sound through arts (alsa 0.90rc7, backported to sarge) while xmms plays. When SIM tries this, it crashes. There is a bug report facility for SIM but looking at it reveals that this is only one-way...
