Can anybody reproduce the following behaviour: (Note: my menus are german, I translated the menu items mostly from memory to their english equivalents...) In KDE 3.1 the Kicker special button "Settings" (Add -> special Button -> Settings) launches the kcontrol module Peripherals/keyboard when one clicks on Accessibilty -> Keyboard Layout, which is wrong, as Accessibility/keyboard_layout should be shown. When accessing the module through KControl directly, it works as expected and shows the Accessibility/keyboard_layout module. I have seen this across several versions of KDE 3 Packages from different sources, so I would expect a bug in KDE itself, but on the other hand this seems so obvious (to me at least) that I want to be sure there is no misconfiguration or misunderstanding on my side.
