ldd -v /usr/lib/libkdeui.so.4 should show such conflicts. QComboBox is part of QT. Searching for the undefined symbol in libqt-mt.so.3.1.1 shows: # objdump -T libqt-mt.so.3.1.1 |grep _ZN9QComboBox13focusOutEventEP11QFocusEvent 002a7e04 g DF .text 0000003b Base _ZN9QComboBox13focusOutEventEP11QFocusEvent Installing sid's libqt3* packages should fix your problem.
